MISSION POSSIBLE: A DevSecOps Odyssey Event During NCSAM
MISSION POSSIBLE: A DevSecOps Odyssey, a virtual event featuring DevSecOps experts and luminaries, is scheduled to be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017, coinciding with the National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM).
During the event, experts will discuss challenges and trends pertaining to securing DevOps and will provide a blueprint along with actionable recommendations for the success of DevSecOps in organizations.
The event will begin with a panel discussion by DevSecOps industry experts on the need for including security in the development process, the pace of DevOps adoption and the challenges involved in integrating the security requirements. In addition, attendees will gain a good understanding of the present state of DevOps and DevSecOps adoption in organizations.
The industry expert panel will be followed by the DevSecOps Leaders Panel session, featuring leaders from organizations that implement DevSecOps, providing examples and best practices for ensuring securing continuous delivery and enhancing the development-security collaboration.
The final session includes a real-world DevSecOps case study, wherein an organization experienced a dramatic improvement in their application security with a vulnerability remediation rate of 53 percent within 10 days as against an industry average of 15 percent during the same period.
This session also provides a blueprint to developers for securing applications throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
